The Center to Promote HealthCare Access (The Center) is dedicated to the ongoing implementation and development of technology that provides efficient access to health coverage,social services and other support programs. The Center provides strategic leadership on One-e-App governance and adoption, technical support for planning and implementation, and software development, enhancement, and maintenance. The Center offers a full range of services including: - Assisting agencies and organizations considering One-e-App implementation;
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining the One-e-App system;
- Providing technical assistance and training support to counties currently implementing One-e-App;
- Researching new, innovative technologies to support the One-e-App mission;
- Monitoring relevant policy issues; and
- Identifying funding opportunities.
The Center was established in 2005 by two not-for-profit foundations, the California HealthCare Foundation and The California Endowment. In January 2006, The Center incorporated as a nonprofit organization in the state of California. In October 2006, the IRS approved The Center’s non-profit status as a 501C(3). The Center is an integrated, full-service organization with offices in Oakland and Sacramento.
